Mrs Brown’s Boys is a huge success story and has grown from a simple radio show into a global smash TV show with a Mrs Brown’s movie to boot. The show’s creator and star, Brendan O’Carroll, has done an amazing job in creating such a funny and special show and the fact that most of the cast are members of his family makes it even better.

Harold Brown , better known as  Grandad  is the father of the late Redser and father-in-law to Agnes. Grandad is fairly fit for his age, being able to walk without a stick and is seen very nearly running in one episode. Wonderful news for the 67-year-old actor who plays the role of Grandad on the show. Over Christmas, he was rushed to hospital with the illness so we're glad to see he's on the mend Mrs Brown's Boys star Dermot O'Neill says he is "over the moon" after getting the all-clear from cancer. The 67-year-old actor, who plays the role of Grandad on the hugely popular sitcom, was concerned that he had suffered a relapse in recent weeks, however he has been given good news instead. Dermot explained that his neck was swollen, which forced him to pull out of appearing in the new series of All Round To Mrs Brown with his friend Brendan O'Carroll.
