The actor thought he was having a heart attack, but had been struck down by a stomach bug. (PA) ‘I said to her “You should call an ambulance”. We called the ambulance as we wanted to meet them on the street. When Jenny and I were in the lift we were still on 999. They told her to put her hand on my tonsil, to count my heart beat. ‘It was all going on. I had the fright of my life and I thought I was a goner.’ However, fortunately for Brendan it turned out to be a nasty bug and not his heart. ‘When I got in the ambulance they said”‘Well it is not your heart” and I vomited it out for 12 hours. I had a very violent bug – I couldn’t have eaten in six months what I threw up.’ A spokesperson for the actor has reassured fans that he is now ‘feeling tip top and relieved’ and that it was nothing to do with his heart.

Twink’s TV comeback with Rory Cowan stalls after stars fall out

A TV collaboration between Adele King and Rory Cowan, the former  Mrs Brown’s Boys  actor, has stalled after the pair fell out. The pantomime actress, known as Twink, had been planning a return to TV with a  Reeling in the Years -type programme based on clips of her time working as an entertainer. Mr Cowan, who announced his decision to leave  Mrs Brown’s Boys in July this year, had also teamed up with the well-known entertainer to work on the project. However, the pair are no longer believed to be on speaking terms. A source revealed: “Twink and Rory were incredibly close and the best of friends earlier this year but that has all gone sour. They had, let’s say creative differences, while planning the show.

The Mrs Brown’s Boys star was taken ill just hours after filming the comedy’s Christmas special in Glasgow. Brendan O'Carroll has revealed he feared he would die when he thought he was having a heart attack Brendan told The Mirror: “I thought I was having a heart attack. I had this bug and at about 2am I had to wake [my wife] Jenny up. We were filming the Christmas special up in Glasgow.” The 62-year-old and Jennifer called 999 and paramedics asked her to count his pulse as they took him down to a waiting ambulance.
