An explosion has been reported at a tube station

An explosion has been reported on the London underground with emergency services now at the scene.

The train was a Parsons Green station at around 08.20am when the incident happened and there has been reports of panic amongst worried passengers.

An image was uploaded to social media showing a bucket in a carrier bag, possibly of the exploded device but doesn’t show how much damage there has been to the carriage.

Speaking to the BBC, city worker Alex Littlefield, said: “I was walking around the corner to the Parsons Green Tube station and I saw the raised platform with everyone running and looking upset.
“I saw police officers, fire brigade… masses of people and armed police. There were lots of very, very distressed people. We’ve been pushed right back now.”
