Brendan O'Carroll announces Rory Cowan's Mrs Brown's Boys replacement

Mrs Brown Boys star Brendan O'Carroll has announced a replacement for Rory Cowan, who quit the show this week.
Cowan had performed with O'Carroll's company for 26 years but revealed his decision to leave because he was "unhappy" with the touring lifestyle.
O'Carroll has since announced Agnes Brown's hairdresser son Rory will now be portrayed by the man who originally played the role, Pat "Pepsi" Shields.
The Irish star said in a statement: "For the four remaining venues in November and December the role will be played by Pat "Pepsi" Shields, who played Rory before Rory (Cowan) made it his own.
"Following plastic surgery the new Rory will be unveiled on Christmas day in the Christmas special."
Pepsi performed with Mrs Brown's Boys for a radio play 26 years ago but he is now best known as Mark Brown, Agnes' eldest son.
Cowan left Mrs Brown's Boys after finishing a show at the O2 Arena on Sunday.

He later said life on the road was getting "a bit dull and repetitive" and insisted there was "no bad blood" between himself and O'Carroll.
"I can't fault Brendan, and there was no falling out - and it definitely wasn't about money," he added.
O'Carroll spoke of Cowan's departure as a loss for the comedy team, but branded him a "legend" and wished him well for the future.

    I`ve seen Pat in the role of Roly and the role is not for him. Should get a new face in. Good luck to all the cast for the future.
