Royals’ Christmas wish: Queen loves watching Mrs Brown’s Boys

The royal family are such fans they asked the BBC for a preview copy of the Christmas special so they could watch it before anyone else.

Actor Brendan O’Carroll, who plays potty-mouthed pensioner Agnes Brown in the show, said: “We do know they are fans! They’re mad about the show.”

Insiders reckon Her Majesty is keeping an eye on the sitcom because for the last two years its festive special has beaten her Christmas Day speech in the TV ratings war.
A new Saturday show on BBC One called All Round To Mrs Brown’s will be screened this Saturday.
It will feature all the regular cast and a host of celebrities.

Brendan O’Carroll   Mrs Brown’s daughter Cathy – played by O’Carroll’s real life wife Jennifer Gibney – will front her own chat show with star guests.
In a twist, Agnes will be in the kitchen chatting to the celebrities’ mums in the hope they will give up some embarrassing secrets about their offspring.

The pair have a wish list of guests they would love to come onto their show which will go up against ITV’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Brendan would like the Queen and Prince Charles to appear plus This Morning’s Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby
